Why a cohort?

Several people have asked me why we want to help authors launch in a group?
Why not just work one-on-one?

I could give you a lot of facts about the benefits of working in a group, especially the cost-saving ones. A book launch can cost a lot of money. A publisher told me this weekend that a “good launch” can cost up to $5000 in the traditional publishing world. Of course, we’re not traditional—but we still want our books to sell.

The simple fact is that Lea and I are natural-born coaches. We LIKE people and like working with people. We thrive on brainstorming sessions and immediate feedback. Most importantly, we are part of an amazing group of women who have supported us with their words, actions, and prayers. We are published authors in part because they are in our lives.

We want this for every author.

We offer two-on-one coaching.
We can run your whole launch, or we can manage parts.
We can provide you with email templates or a graphics package.
But what we really want to do is teach other authors how to manage their launches in a way that’s not overwhelming and doesn’t consume all of their free time.

Our first cohort will begin on Monday, October 28, with a three-hour interactive workshop to teach you ALL the things. We’ll stop between sections to give you time for Q&A and practice. 

You’ll walk away from this first session with a plan and assignments to complete for feedback during our live coaching calls, which will meet for the three weeks immediately following. We’ll also invite you into a private Facebook group where you can receive feedback in between our live sessions.

Our course was created to teach you how to make the launch process easier and save you money, with expert tips on:

  • Defining your target audience as well as potential secondary buyers

  • Drafting a manageable plan

  • Creating engaging newsletters and lead magnets  

  • Building a launch team to hype your book

  • Podcast practice, creating a press kit, and so much more!

We’re accepting ten authors into our first cohort and offering a discount because (we know what we know, and) we know the ten people in the first group will help us evolve in our business, making us better with their feedback.

We’ll email an outline and allow you to officially sign up on Friday, October 11. The first ten people on the list will have until Sunday, October 13, to register, and then we will open it up to the next in line.
